cup noodles. So English food has fallen by the wayside. Why? Because you can't hurry a good English meal, it takes a long time to prepare. In England we roast our meat in the oven in one large piece and we place our potatoes around the meat to cook in the juices that come out during cooking. There is nothing quite so delicious as a potato roasted in meat gravy, but it can't be done quickly. It takes several hours for the meat and potatoes to cook well and then there are the vegetables to prepare.
Brussels Sprouts
I've never seen them anywhere else. I've only ever seen them steaming in dishes on English Sunday lunch tables. They are like a dwarf version of a cabbage. A tiny but totally perfect cabbage, as a baby's hand holds all the details of the hand he will have as an adult, so is the Brussels sprout to the cabbage.
